We hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. It was a little odd for us not to be in Columbus with family and friends this 4th, but with it being in the middle of the work week it just didn't work out. We spent some time with our friend's The Rutherford's, (thank you again Tim & Amanda for hosting). The girls did not really care for the fireworks at all. We spent most of the time inside watching cartoons and eating some snacks then we did outside watching the colorful display. I forgot to take my camera along, but did get some great video that I will be sure to post later. So much has gone on in the past few weeks. Derek has started his new job with FNTS and is loving every minute of it. The new challenges are exciting and being able to work with his old co-worker Rikard helps a ton. He has a longer drive now with having to go downtown vs a few blocks away, but is still able to help taking the girls to daycare/preschool when needed. Caitlin is still on the mend of coming down with Mono. Hopefully we can start the climb back up to feeling awesome. We are now on week 5 of her not feeling so well. :(. You can tell she wants to feel better too, but just doesn't have the energy there yet. She is starting soccer with her preschool, so hopefully she will be up to playing soon. It's a great program that comes to their preschool once a week and teaches the kids the basics soccer skills. I believe at the age of 6 (which is just over 2 years away :() she can join their leagues, but for now its just more about the basics and having fun. She is counting down the days until dance starts as well. She has informed me several times that it starts the day after her birthday. We will be entering the wonderful world of Kinderjazz! It should be fun to watch her grow there as well. It is time to start planning for her 4th birthday!!! She wants a rainbow/Hello Kitty party...so time to start putting on the thinking caps there. Oh and we can't forget about an Addison update. She is getting so big! I can't believe that she is 19 months old today! Where has the time gone?! I remember bringing her home for the hospital and just watching her sleep and cuddle and now she is running around the house asking for more (insert any item here) or she is sitting next to CeCe (her name for Caitlin) coloring Mickey Mouse. She is getting 4 more teeth in right now, so if I am lucky I still get some cuddle time with her, but not nearly as much as I would like. Its so amazing to watch her grown, just like her sister, learning new things everyday. This morning she was getting ready to be changed out of her pj's into her outfit for daycare and I realized she was the one that was pulling up her shirt and moving her arms out, it wasn't me helping her anymore. WOW! More adventures for her on the way and I can't wait to be there with her and watch her discover. Have a wonderful day! I promise I will post pictures soon.

Blink of an eye

It has been a few days (hmmm months) since I last was able to sit down and write about our crazy wonderful life. I guess that is what happens when you have a 3 year old, or as she informs us, almost 4 year old and an 18 month old, again almost 19 months. Time is sure moving pretty quickly around here. I promise to try and keep up and keep everyone more informed on the happenings in this crazy life we live. My promise...at least once a month for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and I promise to to post some more this weekend.

December 2011

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy First Birthday Miss Addison, Happy Birthday to you!

I can't believe that a year has already passed. Addison has changed so much from her first few days to where she is today. We had a wonderful family birthday party with her "Winter Onederland" themed party. Complete with a hot chocolate bar, marshmallow snowman, snowflakes galore and family and friends.

We look forward to the many more amazing birthday's that we get to share not only with Addison but Caitlin and all of our other wonderful family and friends.

(Pictures to be posted later).
