Rainy days and Tuesdays

So it's another beautiful/rainy Tuesday here. We have had a rough couple of days with the girls being sick, visits to the Dr, phone calls with the Urgent Care/After hours call. Hopefully this has all passed for the week and we can move on to new and exciting things for the weekend. Plans are still in the process but I have a feeling its going to be a great weekend. Mostly it will be watching the girls grow and explore like always. Caitlin is now doing an amazing job of with her ABC's, 123's etc. She is really enjoying her new preschool/daycare which is awesome. With her 3rd birthday right around the corner we are hoping that awesome Aunt Jenny will take some pictures for us.

Addison is just growing like a weed she has now mastered, the army crawl, sitting independently and of course being able to go from the laying down position to the sitting up position. When did my baby start to grow up and why so fast? She also is the proud owner of 2 bottom teeth that is more than willing to show off or let your finger get a touch of their razor sharpness. We are hoping that in the next few weekends we can get out and get some 9 month photos taken by the amazing Aunt Jenny. As soon as those happen I will be sure to post.

Hope everyone has had an amazing (Rainy or not so rainy) Tuesday.

And here we are again.

Where has the summer gone? I know it is still the middle of August, but it seems as if Summer is over. So for this family it means time is starting to get really busy with birthday parties, football and beginning of Holiday's.

Caitlin and Derek will share another piece of birthday cake soon, in about 20 days or so. I can't believe that Caitlin is going to 3 year old, it honestly seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now we are being told that she wants cupcakes and a bicycle for her birthday. She is getting to be such an amazing little girl and an awesome big sister to Addison.

We hope that everyone with an August birthday had an amazing day.

Miss Addison

I can't believe that Addison is already 7 months old, time is moving really quickly. A few weekends ago we were able to go back home and my amazing sister took some photos of Miss Addison for us. It was a great day, because just the day before (July 3rd) Addison sat up for the first time all by herself, of course now we are moving and shaking like crazy. We are getting up on all fours and trying very hard to crawl.

I know this is a little late, it's been a while since I posted, we have been super busy lately, but here is a picture of the girls from the 4th of July.

May the 4th be with you

Happy May 4th everyone, again I can't believe how quickly the month of April has gone by. We have had some great weather so we have been busy playing outside and such. To nice to be behind a silly computer.

I will be able to update the blog soon with some new pictures, our friends over at Studio C41 took some (what I am hoping to be) some pretty fun and exciting family photos last night. We have our viewing session in a week, so excited!!! Both the girls did an amazing job. Caitlin did so well with her big girl pictures and family pictures and Addison had her first professional photos.

It will be another busy weekend ahead for us but hopefully a few more fun projects can get done and some of the not so fun project as well. Hope everyone continues to have an amazing day. I am off to have a indoor pizza picnic with the family.

Rainy days and Thursdays

Sometimes you just to sit back and smile. It is raining today so we are unable to do our after work/ daycare tradition of playing outside and greeting the neighbors dog. So Caitlin suggest we sit down and have super hero juice (capri sun flavored water) and peanut butter sandwiches and watch Clifford. Addison is cuddled in her car seat taking her traditional after daycare nap. I can't believe that in just a few short days she will already be 4 months the time is just passing to quickly. Caitlin is officially 2.5 years old. So we are starting to think of ideas for her 3rd birthday. So crazy.

We are off to go "play" in the rain as we run a few errands. Hope everyone has a great Thursday.

And we are back

So it's been a while since I last posted any family updates. Oops what I can say I have been busy, coloring, building towers, watching rolls and learning new coos. Life has for sure kept us busy for the last few months. A lot of things have happened since our last hello.
Miss Addison is now almost 4 months old and learning to roll over from back to stomach and stomach to back. She of course is just growing like a weed. We have her 4 month check up next week and we see her weight and height and update more than (I promise). She is still sleeping in her bounce chair or car seat due to a horrible cough she has going on which leaves me sometimes on the couch next to her, which I am adjusting to.m

On to Miss Caitlin, she is loving the new spring weather we are having. She misses her snow suit and going sledding but loves her new outside house and of course the neighbors puppy to which we have to see every day after daycare. She is getting better each day at her "mine, mine, mine" stages which as I have learned to say "This to shall pass". She is loving our new church (I will catch you up on that later) and enjoys going to play with her church friends every Sunday.

As for Derek and I we just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on the 1st. I can't believe it's been 5 years it seems so quick that that time has passed. We got to spend the whole day together just hanging out and honestly just acting like kids ourselves. I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband and father of our two beautiful girls. We have both stayed pretty busy with work (the real estate world is picking up).
Derek of course is gearing up for the spring weather season and keeping up his duties as a member of the Heartland React. It keeps him away a few nights here and there but it's great to see him out and about doing things he enjoys.

I am learning to be more "simple" I have some great art projects in the works that I can't wait to showcase. I am also in middle of reading this great new to be blog I found. It has really helped me learn about what is important in life and all the trials and tribulations that everyone faces. I am so lucky to have someone the share the ups and downs with. (also waiting for the book to come out "two kisses for Maddy". Google it and you will be lead to Matt's blog about his life. So awesome.

Okay well for now it is time to get back to the important this.. we are playing outside and playing with the soccer ball.

When life hands you...

7 1/2 inches of snow you go sledding!!!! So we saw another 7 1/2 inches of snow fall from the sky on Saturday evening, which kept this family of 4 home and cuddled up under blankets. We got up this morning to find that church had been cancelled due to the weather, so of course our first thought... bundle up and head outside.

That is exactly what Daddy and Caitlin headed out to do, of course after Derek cleared the driveway. Caitlin got all bundled up in her purple snow pants and pink coat and headed down the driveway in her sled. She had such a blast. She even got to do some off roading when her and Derek went to the snow covered parking lot across the street. Once the sledding was all done, Caitlin decided she need to shovel some snow and spread the salt so that the neighbors wouldn't get hurt walking their woof woofs.

Meanwhile, Ms. Addison and I stayed inside and watched from the comfort of our blankets as the two others played outside.

Milestones and Memories

Yesterday was a big day in the Loseke household. We set a few milestones while hanging out in our pj's and watching the snow come down.

Caitlin ended up staying home with me as it was just to cold to get outside for daycare so she stayed home with me and Addison and helped make some homemade beef stew. It was fun to watch her look out at the backyard and get all excited to see it snow, but after a few hours she "Mommy it's still snowing". So instead of heading out to play in the snow, she decided she wanted to settle in and watch Veggie Tales to which her milestone came when she informed me she needed to go potty and ran to the bathroom and actually went potty all by herself!!!! YAY Caitlin!!!! So of course we got to finish watching Veggie Tales but while we sported our puppy sticker on our shirt. She was so proud and was so excited to tell daddy when he came home from work.

Onto our other milestone of the day, we turn to baby girl #2... I knew time was going by fast but realized it yesterday when Miss Addison turned a month old. I can't believe it has already been a month since our family welcomed Addison into the world. We celebrated by taking some pictures of her and of course lots of hugs and kisses and tummy time. We will go in tomorrow to check out to see if she has gain any weight. We are hoping that she at least at her birth weight or a little above. Yesterday was such a great day of milestones and memories. So here is to yet another great day of memories and milestones.

A few of my favorite

New Year and New Beginnings

Out with 2010 and in with 2011. It is a new year and we are off to start some new beginnings. We have started the new year off but becoming a family of 4, we are transitioning pretty well, with just a few minor adjustments, which I am sure every family goes through.

Caitlin is doing a great job at being a big sister, I am so proud of her and all the new beginnings she is going through as a thriving 2 year old. We are working and learning so well everyday.

Addison is growing and getting strong everyday. We are still working on getting to our birth weight but she is such a happy camper and doing well on her new routine as well.
