We are almost back to our routine schedule's. Derek has been back to work for 2 days and Caitlin has been back to daycare starting today. Addison and I are getting adjusted to the house being so quite. We are also getting some Christmas present wrapping done while the other two are away. Miss Addison is a week old today, I can't believe how quickly time has gone, I know it's only a week but it seems to be going by so quickly.
We are looking forward to our first weekend at home as a family, we have big plans in store, we are going to go see Santa, bake some cookies, and cuddle next to the fireplace and watch some Christmas movies.
It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

Big Sister, Little Sister
Caitlin is adjusting very nicely to becoming a Big Sister, she loves to help out with all kinds of big sister deals, like rocking big sister in the bassinet or getting a diaper for mommy. Addison is adjusting really well to being home and to a lot of new noises and to her big sister always wanting to be around here all the time.
Mommy and Daddy are also adjusting to the new sleeping schedule and to the fact that there are now 2 pretty little princesses in our home. We are truly blessed by God and all he has given us.

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care as well all know St. Nick will soon be here.
The Loseke household is pretty much ready for Christmas. We have our presents under the tree, the stockings hung, our Christmas books are being read each day. There is just one little thing missing from our Holiday festivities... that is Baby Loseke #2.
We are fast approaching Miss Loseke's due date. We are so excited and feel so blessed with all that God has given us.
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a great Holiday Season.

Giving Thanks
The Thanksgiving Holiday has come and gone, but there are so many things that we are Thankful for that just sharing on one day does not seem to be enough.
We are so fortunate to have family and friends that we were able to spend the day with. We had a wonderful day spending time with family, eating a little to much and just enjoying each others company. Caitlin got to play with her cousins Kole, Logan & Scout. She even shared her special blanket and chair with Scout which was so nice and big girl of her.
Mommy and Aunt Jenny must have had some crazy turkey b/c we got up at midnight and headed out to do some shopping, it turned out to be some great sister bonding as we sat in line at Old Navy for just under 2 hours to check out, we had some horrible hot chocolate and little sleep. We returned home around 5.a.m.
Then it was Derek and Mike's turn to head out and fight the crowds. It seems that everyone had a great time shopping and the boys loved being able to just hang out and play video games.
I hope everyone was able to spend time with family or friends and give thanks for all the wonderful people in their lives.

Knock... Knock.....
Knock, Knock, "Who's there" It's me Dorothy and I wanted to say "Trick or Treat Please.
Yesterday as we all know was Halloween and this year Caitlin got to actually venture out to do some real trick or treating. We went and say our friends Tim and Amanda, of course we went to see Roxanne from daycare. Then we were invited to "Trunk or Treat" at the church across the street.
Caitlin... I mean Dorothy really had a great time and was home in her chair by 7:30 last night, the best part when she asked if she could have a snack before bed, I was willing to give her a piece of candy but she said no thank you mommy, raisins please.
We hope everyone had a great Halloween and enjoys the beginning of November.

30 WEEKS ALREADY
We are already at the 30 week mark for our new addition to the family. I can't believe that in 10 weeks or less we will be blessed with yet another beautiful baby. I am feeling very blessed and lucky to have my wonderful husband my beautiful daughter and soon another beautiful little girl. I feel like our family is so close to being complete. This is going to be such a great journey that we are so excited to start. God has truly blessed us with so many things. We will be sure to keep updates as the due date becomes closer and closer.
Hello....Goodbye October
I can not believe that October will be over in just a few short days. It seems like time is just going by faster and faster. This month Caitlin has really shown us how she is becoming such a big girl now.
We are getting better with potty training(which mommy and daddy are very happy about). We are also learning a new language a little bit at at a time, we can now count in both English and Spanish, she is very proud of this accomplishment which I can not blame her one bit, we are very proud of her as well. She is also becoming a big helper in the kitchen. The other night we made a homemade apple pie and Caitlin was able to "mix, mix, mix" all the ingredients together and even help put the apples in the crust to bake. It is truly amazing to be able watch her grow and discover new things.
We are still debating what to be for Halloween, can't believe this will be her 3rd Halloween to celebrate. We have already gone to the Bellevue Berry Farm for our pumpkins and hay rack ride but we may have to visit another one before the season is over. Caitlin loved to help pick out the pumpkins.

Lake Getaway

We had a wonderful get away this weekend to Spirit Lake Iowa. It was a quick weekend trip but we felt it was worth every minute. We enjoyed a boat ride around the lake, "jumping" in the water and even a little trip to Minnesota. I will post more pictures of our weekend tomorrow, we are a little tired from the trip and need to settle down and in before we head off to work and daycare tomorrow... but I do leave you with this.
The Zac Brown band could not have said it better...

sand Not a worry in the world, a cold drink in my hand
Life is good today. Life is good today.

Let the Countdown Begin
We have had yet another busy past month, I am not sure where the time has gone, it's been filled with birthday parties, family gatherings, and just overall businesses. So as August comes to a close that only means one thing.... MORE BIRTHDAYS!!!!!
In just a few more days, the Loseke household will be celebrating more birthday's. I can't believe that our little girl is going to be 2, it seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home for the hospital and now we are playing with colors and using our imagination to its fullest. It has been one of the best experiences and I can't wait for it to continue.
Which of course we can't forget that Daddy dearest will also be celebrating his 30th birthday that same day as well. It will be a day full of celebrating and enjoying the great joys we have been given.

Caitlin Update
I can't believe that in just about a month and a 1/2 Caitlin is going to be 2 years old. Where has the time gone? She is getting so big and more independent everyday.
We have starting on some new great adventures for us and her... We upgraded her from the crib to the toddler bed a few months ago....which is still taking time for her to get used to as well as Derek and I getting use to her being able to roam freely around the house at night. She has also starting to use the big girl potty and when she is able to go she gets so proud of herself...of course we are also very proud of her.
Caitlin is also being a great speaker, her sentences are becoming a lot more complete, as well as she can say the alphabet clearly and also realizes when she misses a letter and will start over. Her newest accomplishment is counting, she has gotten 1-10 down like a big girl and loves to count for people.
Each day is a growing and learning experience for both us as parents and Caitlin. I don't think we would trade it for anything in the world. Being a parent to her is just a great joy.

July already
So as you can tell by the months of May and June...and the lack of new posts. It has been a busy time for the Loseke household, we have made a couple of trips back to Columbus to see the family, of course the zoo and outings with our friends.
I guess the biggest news we get to share with everyone is that around Christmas time. Caitlin will become a big sister, as we are expecting. We are very excited and feel that this complete our Loseke household. Caitlin is getting more and more excited to become a big sister and to have "baby" join us. I am sure it will be a great adjustment for all of us to become a family of 4 but we are so excited for all the great things to come.
I have included a baby count down tracker for all of us to keep up the progress of where we are, its something fun to see.

Walk around the Lake
This past weekend was such a great weekend, that after a busy Saturday morning we decide to go for a walk around Cunningham Lake, which has a beautiful views of the lake, a great way to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Caitlin of course loves to be outside so she really enjoyed the time. Here are some pictures of our little walk around the lake.

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter weekend, making our rounds around the Columbus area. We gad a great time spending time with family and a few friends. We ran into a long lost friend who currently resides in Korea at Caitlin's first Easter Egg Hunt. Shayna and her son, Issac became fast friends with Caitlin while they looked for eggs as well as afterward when the two little ones were able to run around the park, which really tired Caitlin out.
It was then off to Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house to dye Easter eggs, which Caitlin wasn't so interested in doing, but had fun looking at all the great colors.
Then Sunday we headed off to Grandma's Church to celebrate the meaning of Easter. Afterwards we headed off to Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house for some great time with family.
Hope everyone else had a wonderful Easter Holiday Weekend.

Two in Twenty Two
So while talking with my sister Jenny today. We discovered that my niece, Scout will be a year old in 18 weeks. I can't believe how big she is getting. Time is going by so quickly.
Well with Caitlin being 11 months older than Scout that means Caitlin will be the big #2 in 22 weeks. I know some of you out there are probably thinking, seriously, you are thinking about that already but it's me, I am a planner. I can't believe our big girl is going to be 2 already, where or where has the time gone. It goes by quickly and as always we love to watch her grown, learn and explore each and everyday. We are starting to think about the birthday celebration with it being a holiday weekend as well as Derek's 30th birthday. Oh the things, we'll do. We will keep everyone posted and updated about the things we are planning. Hope everyone has a great week and gets to enjoy this beautiful weather.

Sping has Sprung
It looks as if Spring has arrived. We are so excited to see the snow melting and the sun shining. We are also taking advantage of it being lighter outside for longer which is a good thing and a bad thing. It's great because it has given us chances to get outside and play but not so great because it has confused Caitlin on when she is suppose to go to sleep, but we are mostly excited about the staying light out longer as I said.
Caitlin and Mama took advantage of the nice weather on Monday evening, while Daddy was away at meetings to get outside and enjoy the 50 degree weather. We went across the street(learning how to look both ways before we cross) and played on the swing set and climb on toys at the church's playground. Caitlin had a great time playing for her 30 minutes or so before it got to cold and we had to head back home. Here are some pictures of Caitlin's return to the great outdoors.

Attention Shoppers!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Miller came up last weekend to pay us a visit. While Daddy was out with his REACT group doing some weather classes, Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy and Caitlin decided to head out to do a little shopping and just get out of the house. While at Target, Catlin discovered that she could be a more efficient shopper if she had her own shopping cart, so off to the toy aisle she lead Grandma and I. Caitlin became a huge fan of the little shopping cart with the groceries and tugged at Grandpa and Grandma's heart strings as she went up and down the aisle saying "xcuse me", "thank you" and of course the puppy dog look when it came to the time to check out. We are now the owners of our very own shopping cart. Caitlin very much enjoys her new cart and has also realized that she can put her other toys in there as well.
Mommy and Me Day
Today Caitlin didn't have daycare so Mommy decided to take the day off and hang out with her favorite little girl. The weather is starting to get a lot nicer outside so we might be spending out afternoon outdoors. Caitlin has been looking out the backdoor at her swing and is ready to get to playing outdoors again. Last week we took a picnic indoors and I think it got us all ready for spring.
In other news, Miss Caitlin is already 18 months old. I can't believe how quickly time has gone. She is learning more and more everyday and we love watching her group and become more independent each day. Her current big girl duty is that we pour her milk or juice but she has to get her cup off the table, we are not able to hand it to her. She is even sleeping on a big girl mat at daycare now. I love how much she is growing and learning each day. Well we are off to start the our Mommy and Me day.

What's the news doc?
So Caitlin has been fighting a pretty rough cough and wheezing going on for a couple of days. Well this morning she woke up with a temp of 101. So she got to stay home this morning with Dada and then Mama came home around lunch time to spend the afternoon with her.
We went and say her doctor around 3 this afternoon as her temp wasn't going down and she just seemed to be getting worse. We saw the doctor and of course Caitlin was her polite self as always saying "thank you" when the doctor took her temp and checked her ears. So after a quick evaluation we were told Caitlin has an ear infection and bronchiolitis. So we get to stay home and hang out with medicine and of course our favorite....breathing treatments. We did our first breathing treatment this evening which Caitlin wasn't a fan of until Mama got out the camera and we had a mini photo shoot, that's our Caitlin. I have included some fun pictures of Caitlin with her breathing treatments.
Weekend Review
Caitlin, Derek and I had a very busy weekend with many visitors stopping by. On Friday night I had a few friends over for a Girl's Night, which Caitlin enjoyed spending time with some friends of her own.
Then on Saturday, Aunt Jenny and Uncle Mike stopped by for a little bit to see us and to hang out. Then Grandma and Grandpa Loseke and Aunt Valerie stopped by so we could finally have Christmas. Caitlin got some great books that we enjoy reading. They stayed most of the afternoon and we hung out and enjoyed family time. My parents were also able to stop by in the afternoon and hang out as well for most of the evening. We ate pizza, played a few games and even danced to the Mickey Mouse Songs.
Then finally on Sunday, Grandpa and Grandma stopped by to have their Christmas with us and Caitlin got pj's and some more books. She loves her "there's a wocket in my pocket" book. We have read it a few times.
We had a great weekend and were so glad that so many people were able to stop by and say HI. Hope everyone had a great weekend as well.

Happy New Year
Hello and Happy New Year. I know we are a few days into 2010 and I feel its going to be a great year. Nothing overly exciting for the Holidays this year mainly due to snow but we have made some great goals for the coming year both ourselves and as a family. I hope all of you have a great year ahead and may God bless you each day.
