I have been going to the doctor on a regular basis, about every 3-4 weeks to have my blood pressure taken, as for some reason it doesn't like to be stable. I am now on blood pressure medicine, which is okay for the baby and really helping out with the blood pressure itself. I am currently getting readings of 120/77 or in that area. Which is good. I am really enjoying my OB, Dr. Kay Thatcher, she is honest, to the point, but is looking out for mine and Baby
Loseke's best interest. She did refer me to a
perineonatologist with Methodist hospital. (Let the freak out begin)...
I had an appointment set up for last Wednesday with Dr. Andrew Robertson, at Methodist. I can honestly say I don't think I have cried so much before a Dr's appointment. We met with his nurse, Kim, who is probably one of the nicest nurses in the world. We went right in and started our 20 week ultrasound. Dr.
Robertson came in soon after that, impressive for a
Dr's office to actually see the
Dr. right away, he started to explain the ultrasound and the process of what he was looking for, it was the most amazing ultrasound i have ever seen. Derek was along with me, so it was a great joy for the both of us. We actually got to see the blood flow to the baby, the baby's weight and length... the best news was Dr. Robertson, said we have a healthy baby on the way, he wants me to continue watching my blood pressure and taking the medicine, but other than that everything looked great!!!! I will continue to see him for the remainder of the pregnancy, but that is just to monitor the growth. So please keep me and Baby
Loseke in your prayers as we continue our journey.
